DEDICATED, PERSONAL SERVICE
As your real estate advisor, my promise is that your goals will always be my focus. I work with care, skill, honesty, and ethical integrity.
My Scotch/Irish and Ukrainian ancestors immigrated to Canada in the 1800s. However, I grew up in Encinitas, a small town on the coast of North San Diego County, California. After university in Northern California, and following a stint in the Peace Corps in Pakistan as a volunteer trainer of English teachers, I moved to Prague, Czech Republic, where I worked in advertising from 1991 to 1999. I met my wife Veronika there. In 2003 I "repatriated" to Canada to make a family and home in Victoria, BC. We have two boys, age 13 and 15. We enjoy the nature and the outdoors, and we regularly get out hiking and camping.
My personal passions are are many. First and foremost are surfing, which I took up as a child, and writing poetry. I host an ongoing poetry workshop in Victoria. I enjoy cycling and getting out into the forest. I play blues harmonica, drums, and study piano. I do some wood turning and furniture making. Other interests include jazz, film, science, history, and philosophy. I am a member of the Odd Fellows Victoria, a charitable organization established in Victoria over 150 years ago; a member of the Surfrider Foundation, an environmental organization; and I support Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), Amnesty International, among other charities supporting the environment and human rights.
